Datenvisualisierung mit Visio 2010 und Visio Services in SharePoint 2010

Mit den in Visio 2010 weiterentwickelten Data Graphics ist es ganz einfach, Daten ansprechend zu visualisieren. Und mit den Visio Services in SharePoint Server 2010 können Visio-Zeichnungen einschließlich direkter Anbindung an Datenquellen direkt vom Server dargestellt werden.
In diesem Video zeige ich anhand einer Datenbank aus Dynamics NAV 2009, wie Datengrafiken in Visio erstellt werden und wie sie auf die Visio Services in SharePoint 2010 publiziert werden können.

SharePoint 2010: Übernahme von PowerPoint Designs nach SharePoint

Das Anlegen von eigenen Designs für SharePoint Seiten, also Farben und Schriftarten entsprechend dem Firmendesign, musste bisher von Hand geschehen.

Das Developer Dashboard in SharePoint 2010 hilft nicht nur Entwicklern dabei, die Performance ihres Codes in einer realen SharePoint-Umgebung zu testen.
IT Professionals und Administratoren können das Developer Dashboard auch zum Troubleshooting von langsamen oder überlasteten SharePoint-Umgebungen verwenden. Fragen wie "Welches WebPart macht diese Seite so langsam" oder "Wo kommen die vielen Datenbankzugriffe her" werden hier beantwortet.

Document Sets in SharePoint 2010 ermöglichen, Gruppen von Dokumenten (z.B. Angebote mit all ihren Bestandteilen) als Einheit zu betrachten, mit gemeinsamen Eigenschaften und gemeinsamen Workflows. In diesem Screencast zeige ich, wie Document Sets verwendet und erstellt werden.

SharePoint 2010 Mehrsprachigkeit

In SharePoint 2010 kann eine Website für verschiedene Benutzer in verschiedene Sprachen dargestellt werden.
In diesem Video zeige ich, wie Mehrsprachigkeit aktiviert wird, wie die Sprache der Site in Abhängigkeit vom Browser gesetzt wird und wie zusätzliche Informationen wie der Titel der Site übersetzt werden können.

Word Webanwendung in SharePoint 2010

Die Office Webanwendungen (Web Apps) ermöglichen es, Office-Dokumente (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) direkt aus dem Webbrowser zu betrachten und zu bearbeiten.
In diesem Video stelle ich die Word Webanwendung vor, die ich auf einem SharePoint 2010 Beta 2 Server installiert habe. Ich zeige, wie im Browser auch komplexe Dokumente mit Wasserzeichen und Fußzeilen korrekt dargestellt werden und wie Dokumente zum Beispiel in Firefox bearbeitet werden können ohne dass ihr Layout beeiträchtigt wird.

Performance Point integration with Sharepoint

Do you use SharePoint and work with Groove? Microsoft's User Research Group is conducting series of studies for SharePoint products and technologies at the Microsoft campus in Redmond, WA, and is looking for participants in the Puget Sound area.

The research team is looking for individuals who use SharePoint at least twice a week and have experience working with Groove. Each participant will receive a gift item they select from a list of some of Microsoft's most popular hardware and software titles.

Microsoft User Research focuses on how people interact with hardware and software products; the information and feedback gathered is translated directly into product design improvements.

Designers take all the research and insight gathered in order to discern whether the product does, or does not do, what people expect and how it can be improved upon. Past participants have enjoyed these studies; finding them to be unique and informative by meeting with Microsoft product development teams and being directly involved with a product development process.

Customer project using Sharepoint 2007 and DPM 2007

John Knightly tells us about a project he started at the company (name kept private) he works for in Phoenix using Sharepoint for implementing change control, bug tracking, and for the company's default internal homepage. As part of the solution, he also started using DPM to backup everything up. He tells us about what went well, what didn't go well, and gives some technical tips if someone else is interested in doing something similar.

Also, you need to download this patch which unfortunately requires a reboot, as does the DPM agent install. If you are running Virtual Server 05 R2, this patch will break things if your virtual host OS is on multiple subnets unless virtual server 2005 r2 sp1 is installed 1^st!
