Screencast: Windows Server 2008 Server Core

Hi there,

Jeff Alexander from Sydney here.  This being my first post on Edge i thought I thought I best introduce myself.  So in this screencast i'm going to show the new Server Core option in Windows Server 2008.  I'm going to show how to administer it locally and some of the things you need to do to administer it remotely.

What do you have in your demo kit?

And a different question... Where did you get the active earth background? Whats it called?

The demo kit consists of the following:

Shuttle machine:

AMD Quad Core Phenom Chip 9500
8GB of RAM
3 SATA hard drives with 1 for the OS and the other 2 setup as RAID 0 for the VM's
Windows Server 2008 x64 Enterprise Edition
Hyper-V RTM
use Camtasia Studio 5.1 to record the sessions then use Expression Encoder to encode to Silverlight

The background is actually a Dreamscene so you need to have Windows Vista Ultimate installed.  the background is called Desktop earth and you need to install Deskscapes from www.wincustomize.com
