One of the biggest challenges when a new product is released is upgrades. I had a chance to sit down with SQL upgrade guru Joe Yong from Scalability Experts. We chat about upgrading from SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2008. Joe explains the differences in the Upgrade tools in SQL Server 2008 as well as providing us some guidance in setting up lab environments for upgrade testing. that is absolutely right. the biggest problem is upgrades.. the original is not a thing to worry about.
