What happens when you combine Business Intelligence with Virtual Earth and the Surface? The BI team showcased an application known as Falcon Eye at TechEd which takes data navigation to a new level.  This is a great example of what you can do yourself with these technologies. What does it do? Besides looking really cool, Falcon Eye integrates data with Virtual Earth so that you can investigate it hands on through a Microsoft Surface device.

Oh My God. This technology is awesome. I don't know if anyone who will see this has been to Mt Taranaki in the North Island of New Zealand, but at Dawson Falls (one of the entrances to the walking tracks on the mountain) there is an information centre that has a lovely made 3D model of the mountain. Around the edges are buttons that you press that light up a corresponding light on the model as to the location of different area's of interest on the mountain. If they were to use Microsft Surface with this awesome Falcon Eye technology, it would be so much more intereactive, and more information could be brought into it.

Absolutely Awesome.
