Last week I popped into Adam’s office to ask about Windows Deployment Services which is a feature that is built into Windows Server 2008. He showed me a quick 6 minute demo which shows how you can easily deploy operating systems to many desktops over the network without having to be physically present at each computer and without having to install CD media on each machine.

As you can see, Adam needs to clean his monitor a little.

Post any technical questions on the post and I will help answer them.

More details on Windows Deployment Services can be found at http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/library/7d837d88-6d8e-420c-b68f-a5b4baeb52481033.mspx?mfr=true

Nice to see some discussion of WDS. One minor thing - WinPE stands for Windows Preinstallation Environment.
This is around the 3rd or 4th time that I've attempted to watch an embedded video on Edge with no success. The video produces a couple centimeters of orange progress bar then idles. I have Silverlight installed on XP SP2 and this time I was prompted for an update yet no video. What gives guys?
