I dropped in again to visit the Exchange team, this time KC announced the new name of Exchange labs is Outlook Live, and Ian gave us a demo of the cool new features in this latest release.  Some of the things Ian showed were:
  • cross browser experience (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari)
  • embedded IM and presence
  • threaded conversation view
for more information on Outlook live, check out the Live@edu website at http://get.liveatedu.com.

This will be a big plus for Exchange. Good work.

Also, it is a little strange to see a MAC there. Just for me.

This is REALLY nice.  Will the chat be part of Exchange or will that require OCS?  Or are they getting rolled into one product again? Smiley
This is what Hotmail should be! Finally a web mail option from Microsoft that makes sense.
I work for a college that is considering outsourcing options and this really raises the bar. Great new features in the web version of mail - especially the threading and cross-browser compatibility, administrative tools look nice, can't wait to hear more.
When will these new features be available for current Exchange Labs schools?  I see the front page for logging in has changed but none of the features are available.  Thanks!
I am currently an OSU student anxiously awaiting this neat stuff. I am sure many of the students will not fully utilize this, or even the teachers, but I will certainly appreciate it!

I am quite excited actually, because I want this experience, it is something I've been desperately needing. I've been campaigning for this to come to OSU. Currently I use SquirrelMail Sad http://www.ecr6.ohio-state.edu/srdr/squirrel/src/

At work I love Exchange, we just implemented Exchange 2007 (which I help setup and configure).

What I want to know is why outlook live looks better than Outlook Tongue Out I have high hopes for Outlook 14.

I currently am using the old webmail right now, the new system is not available to me yet Sad
Nice stuff already testing it!
It will be nice if Live Outlook messaging will become proxy for other
Messaging platforms li gmail skype yahoo
If we have an account on exchange labs already what is the best way to provide feedback to you about some things we would like to see or some of the things that are a little rough around the edges still?  The migration from R2->R3 has crippled my "accepted domains".  There are also some things that I would like to suggest with respect to the new OWA interface that is in Exchange Labs but I don't think this is correct forum.

Otherwise a very Giant Step in the right direction!!!!

Does the IM function as a result of Exchange or OCS 2007 R2?
What is the role of OCS 2007 R2 in the Exchange 2010 Enterprise Environment?
