Implementing System Center Operations Manager in a Large, Belgian Hospital

Alexandre Verkinderen, System Center Operations Manager MVP, talks about the monitoring solution he implemented at AZ Sint Maarten, a large Belgian Hospital. Sigurd Corluy, System Engineer for the hospital, joins and explains why they need a monitoring solution and why they chose SCOM 2007. The hospital has business-critical application needs, such as monitoring patient registrations and patient medical files. It has a custom-made management pack for these.  

AZ Sint Maarten uses Savision LiveMaps in their NOC to display diagrams of the datacenter and business processes. The application provides an intuitive, graphical view of the health of their racks and business applications.
