Eric Lawrence, Microsoft IE security PM, gives the deep and inside technical security and privacy details on Internet Explorer 8 in this webcast with demos from the IE 8 Firestarter event. Lots of questions were asked - hence why the session went so long!
Check out all of the IE 8 Firestarter sessions by going to the IE 8 Firestarter Tag on Edge (IT Pro related sessions) or IE 8 Firestarter Tag on Channel 9 (Dev related sessions)
I just heard from a friend who said that (apparently) the new IE is faster than Firefox. He said this applied for Windows OS. Don't know the comparison if you use Linux or Vista. Is this true? Maireen, sökmotoroptimering
Hello, our
Fuji Xerox company is now using Firefox to browse and download anything on/from Internet. But the new programmer says that Internet Explorer 8 is actually safer. Please write further about this if it is true. You know security is a big issue for companies. If it is really safer, I would have to consider using IE 8 instead of Firefox. Thanks!
I would like to see the demos and have some tutorials. Does anyone have reviews on the application? Thank you. Susan -- promotional usb drives
IE8 is actually a very secure browser. A recent study by NSS Labs study shows that Internet Explorer 8 is the best browser for protecting consumers against malware and phishing attacks.Read more about here: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2009/08/13/real-world-protection-with-ie8-s-smartscreen-filter.aspx

IE8 looks like they have made some nice changes, but I have a feeling it still won't be enough to get me to change to using it as my primary browser. I have tried a lot of them in the past when new ones come out, but I always end up going back to FF. backup software
Maybe it is too soon to look for demo. I have not got the software update yet. Just hope it will work with the international calling cards website of mine. Has anyone here used it to support their online businesses?
This browsing webcast should work well when the system is not too complicated. The case is quite different for my OurParents Nursing Home and Assisted Living Facility Directory website where there are many internal lines and clouds. Thank you for the discussion! Regards, Jack
Your friend must be doing something different than me. For the most part, I think IE8 is pretty decent compared to earlier versions. However, it takes so darn long to load up at first. I can literally sit and count to ten waiting for the first page to load. dress up games
