DPM 2007 SP1 -- How does DPM really work

With all of the excitement around DPM 2007 and Service Pack 1, we wanted to take the opportunity to get under the covers and really talk about how DPM replicates data.

In this video, I'll cover a brief overview of DPM 2007 followed by:
  • How Express Full's work for block-level syncrhronization
  • How Transaction Logs are protected up to every 15 minutes
  • How the Replica and Recovery Point volumes work together in recovering to previous points in time
  • Ramifications and recommendations of different replication schedules for Express Fulls, per protected workload

Jason, always good presentations from you.

I think pricing for the DPML are not appropriate, especially for client and for enterprise DPML, which should be at least 50% lower.
