Joey was there for me in a pinch when I went looking for something new to put up for today.
He was doing some work on a demo for Active Directory Recycle Bin, and he showed me what he's working on.
The new Recycle Bin functionality in Server 2008 R2 is really cool - you can actually undelete objects, and all their attributes are restored as if the object never went away - no requirement to rejoin the domain for computer objects, for example.
The feature is all implemented in PowerShell, so Joey also gives us a sneak peek at the new PowerShell GUI.

great tool. dude. we have been waiting for such a tool. it would have released earlier. with 2k3 itself..
Will it reanimate deleted user group membership?
Very cool. Now we need someone to create a PowerPack for that and share it in the PowerGUI.org library... Wink

You bet!  It actually pulls it out of the "recylcle bin" similar to how you pull a document out of the recycle bin on your desktop.  Everything is intact including group membership and all of the attributes.  Good stuff!

Thank you Mark R. for ZoomIT.
I think it is 5 years late, but better ever than never.

Joey, can we expect those PowersShell command to be reachable through the ADUC - MMC GUI interface. not just PoweShell V2 GUI.

Thank you.
No.  The recycle bin is currently only accessable by using the Powershell cmdlets.  It's actually very simple and intuitive to use.  There is always the get-help command as well to make it easier.
Of course, it is simple but I would like to have a chance to finish this through the ADUC. That is all.
