I had a chance to sit down with Senior Program Manager Kevin Farlee and Program Manager Justin Erickson about the new backup compression and high availability enhancements in SQL Server 2008. Kevin gives us some great information concerning the compression ratio and enhanced backup/recover speeds while Justin talks about the ability to perform rolling upgrades in a cluster as well as some new interface enhancements for database mirroring.
