Internet Explorer 8 released with lots of new exciting features like Web Slices, InPrivate Borwsing, Smart Screen Filter and many more. But i am totally impressed with one of its new feature called Accelerators.

The new Accelerators in Internet Explorer 8 help you quickly perform your everyday browsing tasks without navigating to other websites to get things done. Simply highlight text from any webpage, and then click on the blue Accelerator icon that appears above your selection to obtain driving directions, translate and define words, email content to others, search with ease, and more. For example, with the “Map with Live Maps” Accelerator in Internet Explorer 8, you can get an in-place view of a map displayed directly on the page.

Have a look at the sidebar for WinSpark.net Accelerator. (All non PC who has never faced to IE8 - this Accelerator works only in Internet Explorer 8.)

You can also create your own Accelerator for your Blog/Website. Its very simple. follow these  two simple steps.

  • Create your own Accelerator XML definition file exactly like the given image and replace with your own data like HomePageURL, Display name Icon and description etc.

Thanks for the info the internet explorer 8.  Some people have low interest in this stuff, but I am into the tech stuff.  I may transfer to the new explorer 8.   I will check out this winspark site thanks.

For a while I though I.E may be out of the running for future browsers,  with Firefox becomming stronger, but I.E. 8 was the answer to put them back on top of the battle. Its a great browser and Accelerators in Internet Explorer 8 just add to the list of functions that make it the best choice available.

Those are the most noticeable new features in IE8. Web slice enable you to place a shortcut in your menu bar from where you can get an automatically updating snap shot of that page. Accelerator delivers information from another Web site directly to your current browser page. For example, that you're on a Web page with an address on it, highlight the address, and then choose a maps accelerator, and you'll see a map of the address displayed in a flyaway -- a kind of pop-up on the page -- or else on another tab, depending on how that particular accelerator was written. Even baby can use it. This browser is very easy, so if you have heart attack do not need to worry.

The new accelerator within IE8 really improves from IE7 which had a lot of speed problems. Accelerators are a form of search allowing a user to invoke an online service from any other page using only the mouse.Selecting the text or other objects gives the user access to the accelerator services; basically accelerators eliminate the need to copy and paste content between web pages. The White House and President Obama have made the transtion to IE8 already. Another nice feature is the automatic tab crash feature. If a website causes a tab to crash in IE8, only that tab will be affected. The browser itself and the other tabs remain unaffected, hence  reducing any disruption to the browser. The loosely coupled IE architecture is another protocol that leads to higher performance and scalability.

Internet Explorer 8 in my opinion one of the best browsers that currently exist, are very happy that microsoft so take care of us. so, sites such as Critical Essays or custom term paper writing optimized under this browser

I didn't know that IE8's accelerator can be customized in accordance to the user's preferences. This could save quite a lot of time with the enhanced functionality. folding chairs | registry cleaners | rubbermaid closet organizer

Well IE always gives better feature than all other browsers that is why i always prefer IE being a logo design and website design consulant i have to excessively use internet so i feel comfortable using IE8.
